If you are familiar with the popular “Phantom” series of books, you'll quickly realize that the “Hypervenom Phantom 3” is a bit different than the last two but still provides plenty of fun for children. This book is also a great way to teach kids about the different ways that drugs can affect the body.
The “Phantom” books were written to help kids learn about drugs in a fictional world where drugs were more readily available, but in the real world there was still some type of regulation over drugs. However, many kids don't understand this and start taking drugs in order to try out their own ideas. As you might expect, the effects can be devastating.
This book follows the main character, Thomas Hadd, who has been a bit unlucky in his life. He has suffered from various health problems that were caused by using drugs and has also had bad luck with relationships. So he decides that it's finally time to put a stop to his life, and he takes off for the drug treatment center that he's been trying to find.
But once he gets to the treatment center, he's not happy with what he finds. He's discovered that the staff there are very cruel, and not at all helpful.
One day, the treatment center is attacked by a pack of dogs. Thomas doesn't know much about it at first, but he does know that they're looking for a certain drug known as “Hypervenom” and so he sets out to try and save the day. He's not successful, but he manages to find a stash of Hypervenom hidden in his lab, and before he knows it, the whole place is going up in flames.
Tom gets himself to the hospital and then meets up with his friends, but they don't really want to help him with the drugs. In fact, they think it's too much work and will only cause them more trouble. Tom isn't having any of it, though. He wants to help as many people as he can, and he starts looking around for more drugs, until finally, he finds the real one he was looking for: Hypervenom.
Tom soon realizes that he needs to use this drug in order to help him get a lot of money, but, of course, he can't just simply buy it from a drug store. This is where the Hypervenom comes in handy. Tom finds that it can be taken orally and used to help the body heal itself. but, if it's injected, it will keep a patient going forever.
So he gets his friends to buy him some more pills from a drug dealer called “Killer” and he and Killer start working together to help people get the drugs they need. The end of the book shows Tom in a bar with a few of his friends, where he makes a number of mistakes… like letting a few of the kids take some Hypervenom… so that they can get high and getting them in trouble. However, he always makes things right and ends up getting into serious trouble with the police and the school for it.
Meanwhile, things have really gone downhill for Tom, as the school and the police are constantly asking him why he's being such a jerk, and he doesn't know how to answer them. Eventually, they actually lock him up in the worst jail on the planet and Tom's not sure if he'll ever see freedom again.
The last few pages of the book show Tom in the worst way possible. He is sitting on a bench outside of the court house and is about to be arrested when his friends come in to help. Tom tries to run, but ends up crashing through the door and getting himself arrested. They take Tom to prison, and Tom is forced to work there with no furniture and no freedom, but he is still very helpful… like the good kind… so when he finds out that he has to go into an interview for a job, he makes sure that he has the “I need the Hypervenom for work” stuff tucked in his jacket… so that he can show the other applicants how to use it.
Finally, Tom gets to go back home and finally go on his own terms, and thanks to his newfound skills, he's able to become a very good teacher. Unfortunately, his new life comes to an end when he's caught by the school principal, who threatens to send him to jail because he didn't find a way to stop his cheating. Unfortunately, Tom doesn't really care either way. So he runs away and goes back to his new job, but not before leaving one final message for the teacher.
