One of the most recognizable symbols of Kansas is the state's logo, the Dodge Ram logo. The emblem has been around since the late 1980s but was created just prior to the formation of the State of Kansas. Prior to the formation of the Kansas State Board of Education, the logo was designed and submitted by William Burns. Burns served as the state planner and later governor of Kansas. The current design of the emblem has been in place since the early days of the state. Although there have been many changes over the years, the basic design has not changed and is one of the most recognized of all designs.
The current emblem has evolved through the efforts of the various city councilors, the judicial leaders as well as the designers. It must be noted that although the design has undergone several changes, it still displays the same basic features. This is what makes it a familiar symbol for Kansas. A glance at the logo will show that the image portrays a solid black field with a star-shaped icon in the center of the field. In addition, a rectangular sign is positioned on the right of the logo which is located within a circle that includes the word “Chiefs” along with a football that has the state seal.
The current logo was not always what it is today. Prior to the current design, the logo depicted a woman holding a bouquet of flowers. The slogan was that the flower was symbolic of the strength that the city had. This was changed when the Burns Brothers designed the logo.
The current logo has a slogan that says” Kansas City Fights For Every Opportunity” which is a direct reference to the motto that the Burns Brothers made popular in their song “Where Have All The Flowers Gone.” The colors of the design are also representative of Kansas City as it uses the color blue. Furthermore, the motto is in a short sentence which is shorter than the actual phrase. This makes it easier to read and understand.
The design and the colors of the Kansas City Chiefs logo are something that is very unique. Its uniqueness is what makes it stand out from all of the other logos that are currently used by sports teams and professional teams around the country. Many professional sports teams have the opportunity to wear a particular logo, however, the colors that are used for this purpose are rare. The only other teams that wear the colors of navy and gray are the Detroit Lions and the Houston Texans. There are no other professional teams that use colors of this color or this specific design style.
Another reason why the design of the Kansas City Chiefs logo is so special is because it represents the history of the team and the city itself. The two colors that are used in the design are blue and gray, which are the official colors of Kansas City. Furthermore, the fact that it is two separate colors rather than a single color is also representative of the uniqueness of this team's logo. It is rare to see two colors being used in a logo, so this style of design is really special. The uniqueness of the design as well as the colors that are represented are what makes the design of the Kansas City Chiefs logo so unique. Therefore, if you happen to be a fan, you should check out this logo.
