Do girls play girls sports? Many people have assumed that this is a question that is not asked or even understood. I was once with my best friend, she is a very strong girl and always doing things that looked challenging but really it is a blast. She loves to play soccer, volleyball, basketball and all other kinds of sports. However, when we would ask her if she likes playing girls sports, she would shake her head and say no. There are many reasons why girls prefer to play with boys over girls' sports.
The first reason is very obvious. Boys are stronger than girls and therefore, they are generally preferred in sports. On the other hand, girls are smaller than boys. In addition, girls' bodies are not as well developed as boys' bodies so it's hard for them to engage in rigorous sports.
Another reason is because girls are more interested in participating in activities that involve physical exertion than those where mental challenge plays an important role. Boys may enjoy playing games such as basketball and volleyball, but it is their main goal to score goals and make goals. But girls are more interested in getting involved in team sports like football and soccer. The whole point of the team sports is for the team to win and if the players are strong and healthy, then the team can easily win. Therefore, this makes it easier for girls to get into sports.
Girls have also been found to be more interested in physical education. Sports teach them how to take part in sports and get physically fit. This helps in developing their minds and bodies as well. They learn how to properly take care of themselves and develop their sense of responsibility and teamwork which are very helpful in their academic careers.
Furthermore, girls are also found to be more eager to play sports than boys. This has been noticed by parents who watch their daughters play sports and see how eager they are to practice. It is observed that they are also able to sustain injuries and do not let it stop them from continuing with their chosen sports.
Lastly, studies have shown that girls who play sports do better in math and science subjects. This is attributed to the fact that sports help in improving their critical thinking and problem solving skills. In mathematics and science subjects, students are often faced with a variety of problems and they need to apply their knowledge in order to get the answers right. This helps them in building on their mathematical and logical skills that are beneficial in their future careers.
